Location
- In the valley of the Loire, region of the "Chateaux de la Loire"
- In the center of the department of Indre et Loire.
- 15 km from Azay-le-Rideau, 20 km from Chinon, 40 km from Tours
- Midway between the villages of Saint Epain and Crissay-Sur-Manse (2 km away from each village)
- Ideal starting point to visit the castles of Amboise, Chenonceaux, Villandry, Langeais, the cities of Richelieu, Descartes, Loches etc...
To come from TOURS by the highway:
- On highway A10 take the exit number 25 "Sainte Maure de Touraine", 40 km south of Tours
- After the toll-gate, take left, direction "Chinon" and "Saint Epain"
- Keep on the direction of Saint Epain, passing two roundabouts and driving around 9 km
- Cross the main street of the village of Saint Epain, passing in front of the church and the town hall
- Turn left on the road D21, direction "Crissay/Manse"; a sign "chambres d'hotes" indicates the direction
- 2 km after Saint Epain, turn right on the sign "La Maison Rouge"; we are the last house at the top of the hill!
To come from TOURS by the National Road:
- Follow National Road N10 southwards after Tours (direction "Poitiers"), crossing the villages of Chambray, Veigners, Montbazon, Sorigny
- 5 km after Sorigny, turn right, direction "Villeperdue" and "Saint Epain"
- Reach Villeperdue after 2km, then turn left for "Saint Epain"
- Drive another 10 km to reach Saint Epain, and head towards the centre of the village
- Before reaching the center, turn right on the D21, direction "Crissay/Manse"; a sign "chambres d'hotes" indicates the direction
- 2 km after Saint Epain, turn right on the sign "La Maison Rouge"; we are the last house at the top of the hill!
